I believe with all my heart God did not create existence and put us on this Earth to suffer, be miserable and go around disgruntled all the time. No, I believe God put us on Earth to be filled with joy, laughter, peace and tranquility.

We were not put here to merely survive, but to thrive.

This belief is supported Biblically. According to the website wordsoffaithhopelove.com, the word “joy” appears over 100 times in the Old Testament through 15 different Hebrew words, and about 60 times in the New Testament using eight different Greek words.

The importance of joy was best illustrated in John 15:11, during what scholars term the “farewell discourse” of Jesus. John quotes Jesus: “I have told you this so that My joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.”

With all this in mind, I have assembled what I call some “fun scriptures,” ones that talk about hope, joy and happiness (yes, there is a difference between joy and happiness). Keys words you’ll find in most of these are Joy, rejoice, singing, dancing and, of course, one with running. I love being joyful, I love singing, I love dancing and I love running.

Above all these, however, I love praising God, and these are some effective, and fun ways, to do so.

Note: I am quoting from the NIV.

So, without further ado, let’s have some Biblical fun.
