There are amazing Christian drama teams out there creating incredible performances, and the Internet is abundant with outstanding interpretations of contemporary music. Young people especially enjoy music and drama.  Seeing young people getting so involved in God’s Word has a special place in my heart, as does performing.

Compiling a list of my favorite performances would be a Herculean task, but here’s three – in no particular order — that I really enjoyed:

‘This is Your Life’

The Whitewell Metropolitan Tabernacle Belfast Youth Team told a story of a teen caught up in the struggles of everyday life until Jesus comes to rescue her. It’s performed to the song “This is Your Life” by Switchfoot.

The acting is strong, and the setup is clear, but it’s the ending that really hits home. It’s definitely a good video to show youth groups.

The powerful song “Everything” by Lifehouse may have the most performances on the Internet, at least as far as I have seen, but the Vineyard Church’s sticks out in my mind. It features dancing that gives it a little something extra that I really enjoyed, and the actors do an outstanding job.

‘Break Every Chain’

Even though you see no chains, the Hope Community Christian Church’s performance of “Break Every Chain” by Jesus Culture makes the point clear. The actors apparently work with no actual chains, but their timing is so precise, it seems like magic. It really makes this one stand out.

I’d love to see every youth group on a stage bringing God’s Word to people, whether it’s through a skit or a performance like these.
